‘Criminal Minds' Fans, Paget Brewster Got Emotional Talking About Matthew Gray Gubler on Twitter

Criminal Minds fans are missing Matthew Gray Gubler these days, and it looks like they're not the only ones. His former co-star Paget Brewster gave a surprising update on where their friendship currently stands, and her answer left folks wanting more.

In a tweet posted in late May, Twitter user @emilyprentiss4L shared two throwback photos of Matthew and Paget hamming it up for the cameras. The candid pictures showed the duo being playful, with one even documenting Matthew kissing the side of Paget's head. Unsurprisingly the post quickly went viral, with one fan lamenting how much they missed seeing the them together. Others agreed, replying with similar sentiments as well.

Since Paget was tagged in the initial tweet, she quickly caught wind of what viewers were saying about her and the Dollface actor online. The How I Met Your Father guest star added her own two cents to the conversation, echoing what people on social media were saying about wanting to see them reunite. "Me too," she wrote on May 27.

When Criminal Minds fans noticed Paget's remark about missing Matthew, they rushed to her side with their own conjoining thoughts. "Miss y’all on my screen so much 😭😭," one person commented on Twitter. "I miss you [two] the best friend duo ❤️❤️," another added. "Ohhh Paget 🥹🥹❤️❤️," a different follower replied.

While Paget's tweet implies she and the 68 Kill actor haven't hung out in some time, it doesn't mean she isn't thinking of her dear friend. Back in December, she surprised her Instagram followers by uploading a unique drawing Matthew made that she framed as decor in her home.

As for Matthew's whereabouts, he's been gearing up for the upcoming release of his second children's book, The Little Kid With the Big Green Hand. He recently closed out the U.S. Book Show in New York City with a keynote speech on May 24, where he gave readers a sneak peek at what's to come from the new literary work.

Looks like we all think it's time for Matthew and Paget to reunite once more. And should it potentially be for an episode of Criminal Minds: Evolution season 2, well ... no one would really mind at all.
