Eight months after suffering a massive heart attack, Deadliest Catch captain Sig Hansen was the first in the fleet to find the crab. He was pulling pots full of crabs and the captain was feeling so good he couldn't stop working.
After being awake for more than 40 hours, Hansen appeared to fall asleep and steamed pass his crab pots. Alerted to his mistake, Hansen turned the boat around to pick up the remaining pots. But after running over then next pot line and snapping it in the propeller, the production crew and ship's crew started getting concerned.
When Hansen started speaking incoherent gibberish, one the producers from the show got Hansen's brother, Edgar to check on the captain. When Edgar was unable to convince his brother to call it a night, he reached out to Hansen's wife.
June Hansen immediately called her husband and after a brief conversation Sig thanked the crew for grinding and announced that he would be retiring to his cabin.
