Creed: Michael B. Jordan and Sylvester Stallone talk Rocky legacy in new featurette

Michael B. Jordan and Sylvester Stallone talk 'Rocky' legacy in new 'Creed' featurette

Just when you think a movie franchise is down for the count, it staggers back to its feet. Warner Bros. released a new featurette for its Rocky spin-off Creed, which focuses on the young son of the late Apollo Creed (curse you, Drago!) and his ambitions to make his own name in the ring.

Michael B. Jordan is working once more with Fruitvale Station director Ryan Coogler, for whom the film is a passion project. “How I got into this movie was through my father,” Coogler says in the video. “He and I are real close, and I was an athlete growing up. What he would do was, before I had a big game, he’d make me sit down and watch Rocky II on VHS.”

Creed hits theaters on Nov. 25, and stars Tessa Thompson, Phylicia Rashad, and Sylvester Stallone as Rocky Balboa. No word whether there will be a cameo from Paulie’s robot.
