What a dynamite idea!

While Paramount, Netflix and others consider buying Coyote Vs. Acme from Warner Bros., Wile E. Coyote himself (voice actor Eric Bauza) has shared the first image from the much-discussed film on social media with the caption, “See ya in 2024!!”

Whether that’s a promise or a prediction is unclear, but Bauza certainly did his best to give the project a boost going into the new year.

The photo itself reveals a concerned-looking Coyote in a courtroom setting with Will Forte. See it below.

Coyote Vs. Acme did have a 2023 release date – July 21 – before Warner Bros. Discovery decided to shelve the pic. That was a good call, at least in part, because another IP adaptation called Barbie was also set for that date.

But the David Zaslav-run WBD decided not to release the film at all, with the conglom taking an estimated $30M write-down on the $70M production. That led to a hew and cry in the creative community and, now, a potential pickup by another studio.
