Cowgirl Makes It Mission To Help Kids Learn To Read

Cowgirl and lover of books Caitlin Gooch noticed that the literacy rates in her hometown of North Carolina were low, so she created Saddle Up and Read, a non-profit organization that incentivizes literacy by allowing kids to interact with horses as a prize for reading. Caitlin knew she needed to reach a wider demographic of kids, so she raised money for a truck and trailer to bring books and a horse to children everywhere. Kelly speaks with two adorable children who've been helped by Caitlin's program, and Little, Brown Books for Young Readers donates $5,000 to help Saddle Up and Read reach more kids.
