Liverpool Legends at Pueblo Memorial Hall

1 City Hall Place | Doors open at 6 p.m., show at 7 p.m. | The Liverpool Legends are four talented musicians/actors put together by Louise Harrison, sister of the late George Harrison, to honor her brother’s legacy and to recreate the band that changed the world forever. Experience the complete history of The Beatles, starting with the early mop-top hits, such as "I Want to Hold Your Hand" through the psychedelic era of Sgt. Pepper and in the end, sing and dance to classics like "Get Back," "Here Comes the Sun" and "Hey Jude." Cost ranges from $48-$93 and tickets are on sale at pueblomemorialhall.com.

2023 Cowboy Magic Shootout at Colorado State Fairgrounds

1001 Beulah Ave. | noon Saturday, 9:30 a.m. Sunday and 9:45 a.m. Monday | The Colorado Mounted Thunder is hosting an event in which contestants on horseback compete in fast-action, timed events in revolver, shotgun and rifle categories. The club is affiliated with the Cowboy Mounted Shooting Association and participants come from Colorado, Nebraska, Kansas and Wyoming. A showcase of the fastest growing equine sport is set for 7 p.m. Sunday. A celebration shoot and awards presentation is set for Monday. The events are free and open to the public.

Great Race stops at Pueblo Union Depot

132 W. B St. | 4 p.m. | The 2023 Hemmings Motor News Great Race will bring 125 race teams for an overnight stop in Puebo. The time, speed and endurance rally involves 1974 or older collector vehicles. The race runs from St. Augustine, Florida to Colorado Springs. Teams from Japan, England, Australia, Canada, and every corner of the United States race with vintage automobiles dating back as far as 1916. The 2023 winners will receive $50,000 of the $160,000 total purse. A 1916 Hudson Pikes Peak Hill climber, a 1916 Chevrolet and a 1917 American LaFrance are the oldest cars in the event. All cars are scheduled to be on display at the stop. The event is free and open to the public.

Tuesday, July 4

Fourth of July Family Fun Day at the Pueblo Railway Museum

301 W. B St. Suite 100 | 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. | The museum is open free of charge. Chef Harvey Claybrook will be offering BBQ fare at his Steel City Café food truck to help raise funds for the museum from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Train rides will be offered for $15 in the engine or $10 in one of three cabooses. Cash or check only. Children 2 and younger ride free. All paid riders get a free ice cream and bottled water.

Pueblo Symphony Celebrate Freedom Concert at Memorial Hall

1 City Hall Place | Doors open 6 p.m., concert at 7 p.m. | Free community concert in honor of the birth of the nation featuring patriotic music to honor active military and veterans. The Pueblo Symphony Orchestra will be led by Conductor Andrzej Grabiec. There will also be performances by the electric string quartet Spinphony, and special guest Broadway vocalist Sal Viviano. The event is free, however, audience members must have a ticket and they are available only at the Memorial Hall box office. A fireworks show will follow the concert on the Historic Arkansas Riverwalk of Pueblo.

Free pool day at Aguilera Park Pool

715 McCulley Ave. | 1-5 p.m. | The pool is open free of charge.

Ladies Night Pinball Tourney at Flip a Coin Arcade Bar

223 S. Union Ave. | 6:30 registration, tournament runs to 9 p.m. | The arcade bar located in the basement of Bite Me Cake Co. will host the women's-only tournament on the first Wednesday of each month. There is a $10 entry fee plus the cost of games. Drink specials will be available during the tournament that's sponsored by New Belgium Brewing. Event is open to ladies of all ages and skill levels, but minors must be accompanied by an adult. Men are welcome to play games upstairs. Players are paired randomly and there is a 100% payback to the top players.

Wall of Honor ceremony at Villa Pueblo Senior Living

1111 Bonforte Blvd. | 2 p.m. | Staff at Villa Pueblo are asking for the community's help to celebrate the unveiling of a Wall of Honor recognizing veterans that reside at the facility. Active military, friends, family VFW, American Legion, local leaders and community members are invited to participate. Scott Shoemaker, executive director, said the wall features "photos and memorabilia for a remarkable representation of the bravery and sacrifice these men and women have made for our country." Refreshments will be served.

Music, Malt & Mead at Abriendo Inn

300 W. Abriendo Ave. | 6-9 p.m. | The St. Charles River Band will perform American Gothic and Folk tunes for the summer concert series in the garden. Tickets are $15 and available at abriendoinn.com/events. Walk-ins are welcome.

First Friday Artwalk at Steel City Art Works

216 S. Union Ave. | 5-8 p.m. | Steel City Art Works is set to host an opening reception for its "Artistic Freedom" art show and celebrate 16 years in business, with complimentary refreshments and cake. In addition, a special show, “Women,” will be on display in the Back Room Gallery. The shows are free to the public 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays throughout July.

Retrospective art show at Liminal Space Gallery

107 S. Grand Ave. | 5-8 p.m. | The First Friday Art Opening will feature the “David R. Edwards: A Retrospective” exhibit. The exhibit is a celebration of 50-plus years of work for Edwards, who was the Fine Arts Department Chair at Pueblo Community College until he retired in 2018. He is proficient in several mediums including jewelry, sculpture, photography and painting. Complimentary refreshments and light hors d’oeuvres will be served.

Eclectic Art Celebration at Pueblo Heritage Museum

201 W. B St. | 5-8 p.m. | The "First Friday - Eclectic Celebration with Rhonda Garcia" will celebrate a Pueblo artist who has worked in diverse art styles from painting and sculpture to mixed media. Visitors will have the opportunity to witness the evolution of her artistic journey. Attendees also can explore the museum's permanent collection, which highlights Pueblo's rich cultural heritage. Admission is free.

Truth exhibit and punk show at Blo Back Gallery

131 Spring St. | 5-8 p.m. for opening reception 8-10 p.m. for punk show | The opening reception for the "Truth" exhibit will feature works from 35 local and regional artists that explore the meaning of truth. The exhibit is juried and is set to run through July 31. The punk show will feature Innocent Sinners, No Consent, P.I.D. and Scrotus. Cost is $8 at the door. All ages welcome.

Creative Corridor Jazz Cafe at Pueblo Arts Alliance

107 S. Grand Ave. | 7-9 p.m. | The First Friday Creative Corridor Jazz Café will feature the music of the Sam Pannunzio Trio: including Sam Pannunzio, Scott Webring and Aavalajn Wiggins; with special guest artists Genie Walker and Julie Wiggins. Food trucks will include Papa Mario’s Grilled Cheese, Sam’s Street Tacos, Nana’s Taco’s and Paradise Shaved Ice. Tickets are $15 in advance at Eventbrite.com, $20 at the door, or $12 for Pueblo Arts Alliance members. Enjoy complimentary refreshments and catch the Van Gogh Van to visit other galleries in the First Friday Art Walk of Pueblo.

Free movie at City Park

800 Goodnight Ave. | 6:30 p.m. with movie at dusk | Pueblo Parks and Recreation will screen the movie "The Lorax" which is rated PG. Bring the whole family and a blanket or chair to sit on.The big screen will be set up in City Park in the grassy area near The Rides at City Park and the playground. There will be concessions and food trucks on site for snack purchases. The movie is free.

It is open to bilingual families and communities, the classes promote an inclusive environment where participants can experiment with sowing and cooking and learn by participating. The classes are free but families should register online.
