Six months after news first broke of country music's next supergroup, the first single from The Highwomen is finally here.

It's called "Redesigning Women," and it finds Brandi Carlile, Maren Morris, Amanda Shires and Natalie Hemby riffing on the expectations, challenges and double-standards they regularly face.

“Redesigning women/ Running the world while we're cleaning up the kitchen /

Making bank, shaking hands, driving 80 / Trying to get home just to feed the baby.”

The group also shared details on their debut album — "The Highwomen" will be released September 6.

Its 12 tracks were written by members in various configurations, along with contributors including Miranda Lambert, Jason Isbell, Jimmy Webb, Lori McKenna and Ray LaMontagne.

“Redesigning Women" was written by Hemby and fellow hit country songwriter Rodney Clawson. It's accompanied by a new music video, which finds the members building a bonfire out of sashes, tutus, ironing boards and lingerie.

The clip features cameos by more than a dozen female artists, including Wynonna Judd, Tanya Tucker, Kassi Ashton, RaeLynn, Cassadee Pope, Lauren Alaina, Natalie Stovall, Hailey Whitters, Anna Vaus, Catie Offerman, Cam, Lily Hiatt and Erin Rae.

The group is set to play its first full concert July 26 at the Newport Folk Festival in Rhode Island.
