“Ladies Love Country Boys” singer Trace Adkins heads to central Iowa this summer. The country star behind hits such as “Every Light in the House Is On” and “You’re Gonna Miss This” performs at Central Iowa Expo in Boone on June 22.

Since Adkins’ career started 25 years ago he’s released a dozen studio albums, sold more than 11 million albums, notched Grammy nominations and charted more than 20 singles.

He made the word “badonkadonk” part of culture with his song “Honky Tonk Badonkadonk,” an ode to a woman’s derriere. His song “Arlington” stirred controversy, sung from the point of view of a soldier buried at Arlington National Cemetery.

Adkins last performed in Des Moines with Blake Shelton, Lauren Alaina, The Bellamy Brothers, and John Anderson at Wells Fargo Arena in 2019.

Who opens for Trace Adkins?

Country artist Walker Montgomery, named an Artist to Watch by Country Now, Music Mayhem Magazine, Sounds Like Nashville, and The Boot, opens. The rising star debuted with his song “Simple Town,” which has seen more than four million Spotify streams, followed by “Like My Daddy Done It” and “Saving For A Rainy Night.”
