County music star Colt Ford has been rushed to the hospital.

According to KLTV, Ford was in Arizona on Thursday, April 4 performing at Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row in Gilbert when he fell ill.

After leaving the stage following his show, he was rushed to a local hospital where he was admitted into the ICU, per KLTV. The singer remains under doctor care.

AZFamily reports that Ford suffered a heart attack.

In a 2023 interview with Taste of Country, Ford detailed health issues he’s dealt with in the past. However, at the time of the interview in May, he told Taste of Country, “I’ve gotten in a lot better shape, and I just feel great.”

“My life is in a great place,” he continued. “I’m getting married in October. I found my person. And I’m just as happy and excited as I’ve ever been about music, which is kind of hard to believe. I feel like I’m not even done making my best music.”

His words came after being diagnosed with “an autoimmune disease called Myasthenia Gravis” in 2022. He also shared that he battled eye cancer as well.

“It’s been tough,” he told Taste of Country. “The last year quite honestly got really hard for me. It’s a disease and there’s no cure for this.”

According to Ford, Myasthenia Graves “affects the muscles in your face, your eyes, and your throat. It hadn’t really affected my throat, but it really affected my eye. I had no control over my right eye. It really messes with your vision. I could see perfectly out of either eye, but then I would look together and I’d see three of you and you would be melting together like a lava lamp.”

This is a developing report.
