Led by officiant and close friend Riehle Simkins, the wedding ceremony was filled with small touches that made a big emotional impact, including the couple’s heartfelt personal vows.

“We decided that we would write each other a letter to read before the ceremony,” explains the singer/songwriter whose new, full-length album, Country Gonna Be Alright, drops on Oct. 27. “Now it’s something that we will hold on to forever.”

The couple's love story began four years ago, when Byrnes left Nashville to make a home for himself in Texas. The house he moved into happened to be owned by Toler’s grandparents. “I knew Granny Lynn, and would always tell her that I could be her grandson in-law if she’d just get Amanda to go out with me,” laughs Byrnes.

The pair eventually met up at the Mule Barn bar and restaurant in Justin, Texas in 2019, but it would be two more years before their relationship turned romantic. “That second night at the Mule Barn when we reconnected, I just felt it,” remembers Byrnes. “As our relationship began to grow, I just felt true love for the first time, and knew I had a partner and best friend who would always have my back. We would truly be a team that could take on the world together.”

Adds Toler: “I knew David was the one because he made me feel safe,” explains the bride, 29, whose big day look was completed by hair stylist and makeup artist Maddi Robbins. “I knew he loved me unconditionally. There’s nothing like spending the rest of your life with your best friend.”

The wedding day, which was planned by Texas-based Kendra’s Events, and captured in a series of exclusive pics by Jenny Bright Photography, also allowed the couple some precious time to spend with close family and friends, some of which they say they don’t get to see often enough.

“Due to our jobs, we don’t get to spend much time with our close ones,” explains Toler, who works as a critical care nurse, while also helping her family raise longhorn cattle. “We were excited to spend the night with the ones we love most.”

Following the couple's emotional ceremony, they celebrated at their reception where guests dined on an array of scrumptious BBQ food provided by Byrnes’ brother-in-law Scott VanPelt, along with cakes from Dough Girls Bakery, owned by Byrnes’ nephew Clay Goshien’s wife, Mindy Goshien.

The entire event was truly a family affair and the newlyweds feel lucky to have so much love around them as they embark on their future.

“Our lifestyles can be challenging, but we’re always each other’s support systems,” explains Byrnes. “We are always there for one another. Making sure we communicate and have each other’s backs no matter what situation life puts us in. We always remember we are a team.”

As the the husband and wife 'team" set out on their future that will include "growing our family together," the couple plans to enjoy some down time on their honeymoon first.

“We got a secluded cabin in Jackson Hole, Wyoming,” says Byrnes. “We are so excited to enjoy the beautiful state and wilderness.”
