Adam Duritz's dreads are no more.
On Aug. 15, the Counting Crows' frontman shared a pic of what appears to be him sans his signature look, and fans don't know what to make of it all.

There was a fair amount of people who were excited that Duritz finally took this step into adulthood.
While everyone knew him for his dreads, it was always strange to see him with them, like they were there by some weird accident.
Did He Ever Really Have It To Begin With?
For others, they're just flabbergasted that Duritz has done such a momentous thing, though some are considering he never really had them in the first place-- at least not recently.
Regardless, people are simply shocked."Dude....Why ? Those dreads were you & the bands signature look," asked one fan.
@JeremyC33 had just one word for Duritz: "Unfollowed."
