'Counting On' Couple, Josiah and Lauren Duggar Welcomes a Baby Girl After a 'Miscarriage' One Year Ago

A family consists of a father, mother and children, and trying to get one takes a lot of work, especially during pregnancy. In the world today, there are several women who went through the right procedures during pregnancy and still had miscarriages. The pain of losing a child that was not given the opportunity to come into the world is devastating. No parent should have to experience this, but sadly, our favorite "Counting On" couple faced this trauma. It was definitely sad news for fans all over the country.

Less than a year ago, Josiah and wife, Lauren Duggar decided to start a family and they were excited to share with everyone that they were expecting. Sadly, things did not turn out the way they expected as they suffered a miscarriage. This announcement was made in May when they revealed that they were expecting again. The couple has tried to lead a simple life and fans were heartbroken to hear that their baby did not make it. However, things have turned around for better for this amazing couple as they newly welcomed baby girl, Bella Mikagro Duggar last night.

When they revealed that they were expecting for the second time, the couple wanted to stay quiet about the miscarriage, but they decided to let everyone in on what really happened. There were no suspicions from people because the couple not only live a simple life, they are very private people. On the new episode of their show, Lauren Duggar expressed how she felt about the miscarriage and how it affected her in ways she never imagined. According to the new mom, she suffered a long time of depression after losing her baby.

She also said that she once thought that there was no point living as she had no idea what she was living for. These thoughts and emotions weighed down on her every day, but she tried her best to look forward. When she got pregnant again and held a baby shower, she had a special cake made for Baby Asa as a remembrance. Her baby shower was exactly as she had imagined it, and she did everything in her power to keep Bella safe.

The 20-year-old mom gave birth to her bundle of joy at 5:24pm on November 8, 2019 and the little one came out very healthy. Baby Bella weighed 6 pounds, 5 ounces and was almost 19 inches long. Lauren and Josiah told USA TODAY that the moment they held their baby in their arms, the pain they had both gone through for a whole year vanished immediately. Most people are unable to come back from the pain of losing a child, but we are glad that Lauren and Josiah have been given another shot at parent hood. The 20-year-old and her husband are looking forward to becoming the best parents in the world to Bella and we wish them well.
