Appalachian folk singer Tyler Childers dished out a healthy dose of heartbreak with the release of his new song and video "In Your Love" to much applause from his contemporaries.

"I hope people share it and lift up good songwriting, deep music and positive messages because we could use more of this right now," Margo Price said on X, formerly known as Twitter.

The song comes ahead of the release of Childers' upcoming album "Rustin' in the Rain," scheduled for a September launch.

Jason Isbell kept his message simple.

"Go @TTChilders go - much respect," he said on X.

Set in coalmining country, the video opens with an elderly farmer plowing his field by aged-mule only to stop upon spotting a four-leaf clover.

Childers' lyrics float in after a few bars of piano.

I will wait for you

'Til the sun turns into ashes

And bows down to the moon

I will wait for you

What follows can only be described as a four minute, 45 second peek into the joy, discrimination, love and heartache of a romantic relationship between two coalminers in the 1950s.

Kentucky Poet Laureate Silas House was both the writer and creative director of the video which starred Colton Haynes and James Scully.

"I am so thankful to Tyler for his artistic vision and to the phenomenal cast and crew, who gave it their all," he said on X.
