Could We Finally Be Getting A Friends Reunion?
On May 6, 2004 our collective hearts all took a beating when we watched the six famous faces of our favorite t.v. show Friends leave their keys on Monica's kitchen counter, never to return again.
With all the shows that have been re-booted to satisfy a generation desperate for some nostalgia, Friends is that one show from which we have yet to get a reunion, and fans are desperate for it. Whether you think it would completely ruin the series, or you're all for a comeback, you can't deny your curiosity about what it would look like.

Would Monica and Chandler still be married? Would they have more children?
Would Rachel and Ross have finally walked down the aisle, after Ross proposed (his favorite thing to do)? What do Emma and Ben look like?
Is Joey living in Chandler and Monica's attic? Still single and struggling with his acting career? (I'm excluding the spin-off show Joey and I'm sure most fans can agree with that.)
What about Phoebe and Mike? Maybe they've finally got enough kids to form that soccer team, or perhaps it's still just a huge box of rats?
Fans want to know what the future held for our six favorite friends!
Talks Are Currently Underway
According to The Hollywood Reporter the six stars of the show and their creators are in talks with HBO Max to do an unscripted reunion special. While being "in talks" doesn't always mean much in the land of t.v. shows these days, it's still more than we've gotten since the final episode of the beloved series in 2004.
The six cast members have always claimed that they would never do a reunion, and some fans thought this was smart. Why do a reunion that could potentially ruin our memories of the show? We all know how Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life turned out.
Friends Is Leaving Netflix
Unfortunately for the many new fans the show has gained on Netflix, it will be leaving the streaming service by the end of the year. However, it will make its new home on HBO Max.
The stars of the show have always been against a reunion, with Jennifer Aniston telling Howard Stern that a reboot "won't be even close to as good what it was," and saying that it "would ruin" the series.
However, she has clearly had a change of heart. She even joined Instagram recently, and her first photo was of all six stars of the show having their own mini-reunion.
The rest of the original cast members and even the creators have also changed their minds and fans are rejoicing.
One of the show's creators, Marta Kauffman, originally said, "We will not be doing a reunion show, we will not be doing a reboot. The show was about that time in life when friends are your family." Yet, she is now on board and in talks for the reunion.
The show has become a beloved national treasure, so let's hope that if and when a reunion special does premiere it will be every bit as good as we're hoping.
