Costco is selling a $6000 doomsday kit -- and Twitter has the best response
Ah, Costco, where bulk cleaning supplies, incredible vacation packages and engagement rings are just some of the gems you can find temptingly scattered throughout the store.
Let's add a doomsday package to that list.
Yes, everyone's favorite wholesale retailer is now selling a doomsday package that is big enough to feed a family of 4 for a year. Priced between $1,000 and $6,000, the emergency kit is filled with fruits, veggies, proteins and dairy. The freeze-dried items included reportedly have a 25-year shelf life.
Costco writes, "Enjoy the comfort in knowing you have the essential foods your family will need to survive an emergency or natural disaster!". Comforting!
Twitter, of course, had more than enough to say about the kit. Sounds like a good deal!
Fun game: watch people come out of Coscto and try to figure out if they're a frazzled parent or a put-together doomsday prepper.
