‘Cosmos: Possible Worlds’ Trailer – All Aboard Neil deGrasse Tyson’s Spaceship for Season 3 (Video)

Fox and Nat Geo dropped the trailer for “Cosmos: Possible Worlds” on San Diego Comic-Con Saturday. Oh, and we suppose executive producer Seth MacFarlane and series host Neil deGrasse Tyson (yes, you too, Ann Druyan, Brannon Braga and Jason Clark) played a bit of a role in the unveiling.

“Things are about to get epic,” renowned astrophysicist NDT promises in the preview video for the mid-season return.

Watch the trailer above, in which deGrasse Tyson ponders, “We search the heavens for signs of intelligent life… but what would we do if we found it. Are we ready for first contact?”

The first two seasons of the “Cosmos” television series transported a global audience to the farthest reaches and most deeply hidden recesses of the universe. In the course of those journeys, the series dramatized the lives of many of the forgotten searchers who contributed to the world’s understanding of who, when and where we are in the universe.

“Cosmos: Possible Worlds” is produced by Cosmos Studios, the Ithaca, New York-based company Druyan co-founded in 2000, and Fuzzy Door Productions, MacFarlane’s company. Druyan and Braga are the series’ writers. Druyan, MacFarlane, Braga and Clark executive-produce.

MacFarlane, by the way, is sticking around the convention center as Fox’s panel for “The Orville” is up next.

Season 3 of “Cosmos” is set to premiere on Fox and National Geographic Channel in March 2019.
