Corpus Christi Comic Con announces first three celebrity guests for 2024's expo

Corpus Christi Comic Con announced Friday its first three celebrity guests who will be available for photos, autographs and meet-and-greets at this year's 6th annual expo in July.
Former Blue (Power) Ranger David Yost, WWE wrestler Mick Foley and actor (and Corpus Christi native) Lou Diamond Phillips will be in the Sparkling City by the Sea this summer.
Co-owner of the city's comic con Daniel Benavides said Yost and Foley were originally invited to come back in 2020, but the COVID-19 pandemic caused the expo to cancel. But Benavides is happy the two, and Phillips, are coming to this year's Corpus Christi Comic Con.
"It is also an honor to bring Corpus Christi's own Lou Diamond Phillips to the comic con this year," Benavides said. "He has an amazing and long career, and we're sure Corpus will want to come out and celebrate him."
Benavides said he and his team try to improve on the quality each year with the expo. He said they want to make sure attendees have the most fun they can.
"We pride ourselves in bringing a wide variety of guests from different pop culture genres," Benavides said. "We want attendees to expect nothing less."
