Labor Day marks the unofficial end of summer, and with about a month before the holiday weekend kicks off, the weather doesn’t seem to be letting up much. Heat waves are expected to continue around the country, so if you’re in need of a new air conditioner, it’s a great time to find one on discount.

To save you the time of rummaging through sales online or in-store, we rounded up a handful of the best sales on portable air conditioners. Window ACs didn’t make the list this time, but you can usually find some pretty good deals at Wayfair and Sam’s Club in addition to retailers like Home Depot and Lowe’s.
Though Home Depot is known for selling air conditioners and other appliances, the retailer has yet to roll out major price cuts on portable air conditioners. At press time, most of the sales that we found were for 10% off but if you’re willing to rummage through the sale page, you’ll find some good discounts such as 43% off this Whirpool 10,000 BTU portable air conditioner ($350) and 29% off the Commercial Cool 3-in-1 Air Conditioner ($371.75).
The portable ACs on our list start below $200 and are mostly designed for small to medium rooms up to 700 square feet. Below, find a list of portable air conditioners from Midea, Frigidaire and a couple of other best-selling brands that are currently on sale for up to 41% off at Amazon, Walmart and Best Buy.

The portable air conditioner is also equipped with Wifi and can be controlled with Amazon Alexa Google Assistant via the Frigidaire app.
