There are certain jobs that tend to elicit an "oh, cool!" reaction from people when they hear about them.

I always thought flight attendants had a pretty cool job.

Of course, I have no idea what the pay and benefits for those are like.

I myself used to have one of these jobs — I spent about a year on the social media team for Nickelodeon's '90s brand, where one of my responsibilities was literally watching cartoons and creating content based on them.

While it was definitely a cool job that I loved doing, it didn't pay very well, and because it was contract work, it also didn't come with the benefits a typical full-time role did (like a 401K or a healthcare plan that didn't cost several hundred dollars a month).
