Cookie Monster has managed to stay pretty mysterious over the years.

While his children’s show Sesame Street premiered 50 years ago this November, the truth is that the only thing he ever really talks about is cookies. However, the lovable guy agreed to do a Reddit AMA to raise awareness for the charitable Yellow Feather Fund.

Some of his entertaining answers were quite revealing. They showed that he obviously has a handle on pop culture! It’s undoubtedly because of all the famous visitors he and his neighbors have met over the years.

Some highlights from his candid conversation:

On when he will host Saturday Night Live: “Me assume Saturday night. But me not know which Saturday!”

On Empire character Cookie Lyon: “She great person to share cookie with!”

On whether any celeb has ever given him a cookie: “Me friends have surprised me with lots of cookies! Sir Ian McKellen even gave me two cookies!”

On the celebrity he’d most like to duet with on the song “C is for Cookie”: “Me would love to sing duet with Lady Gaga. Me and me friends are monsters after all. Me hope she see dis!”

On the superhero he’d team up with: Me part of the Aveggies! Me hope our next task would be to share cookie or shawarma.

On the rent for living on Sesame Street: “Me think you confused…. Rent played on different street, me think Broadway?”
