Controversial Commentator Candace Owens Confirms She Is ‘Finally Free’ Of The Daily Wire

Controversial right-wing commentator Candace Owens is leaving her position at The Daily Wire.

The news, which was announced on Friday, March 22, shocked many, as she had been expected to provide conservative coverage for the 2024 Presidential election.

Candace Owens Is OUT At The Daily Wire

On Friday, March 22, The Daily Wire CEO Jeremy Boreing had many questioning the fallout between the company and Candace Owens after he took to X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, to announce the end of their partnership.

"Daily Wire and Candace Owens have ended their relationship," he wrote in a succinctly worded tweet on Friday morning. It is rumored that their working relationship became strained amid tensions between Owens and The Daily Wire co-founder Ben Shapiro over anti-Semitic conspiracy theories.

Candace Owens has been openly critical of Israel's military operations following the October 7 terrorist attack on Israel amid the war in the Gaza Strip.

Candace Owens Says She Is 'Finally Free' Of The Daily Wire

Shortly after that tweet was posted, Owens took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to confirm that the "rumors" were true and that she had indeed parted ways with her former employer.

"The rumors are true— I am finally free. If you would like to support my work, you can head to [...] where you will be directed to my locals page," she wrote in the caption, also providing another link where her followers could give her "a gift." She closed off her short statement, writing, "There will be many announcements in the weeks to come."

The Anti-Defamation League Called Out Owens One Day Ago

Only one day before she parted ways with The Daily Wire, the AFL was going after Candace Owens after she was praised by white supremacist and Holocaust denier Nick Fuentes, who praised her recent controversial rhetoric.

“White supremacist & Holocaust denier Nick Fuentes is praising Candace Owens' vitriolic antisemitism. It's hardly surprising, but it does set off alarm bells: When bigoted people come together to push an antisemitic agenda, it adds fuel to the fire of hate,” the Anti-Defamation League tweeted on Thursday.

Owens Responds To The ADL: 'My Crime Is Having Stood Up For Myself'

In response to their tweet, Owens claimed that the organization set up a smear campaign against her and warned that the world is "waking up" to their tactics. "I do not know Nick Fuentes, but you already know that," she wrote. "What I do know is that everyone can see what you guys are doing to me. Your pattern is well established and the world is waking up to it."

"My crime is having stood up for myself against your network of smears," she added. Although some fans voiced their support for her in the comments, one user asked, "Candace, has anyone in the Daily Wire speak out publicly to defend you? The public is with you, but do they have your back? You should interview Nick Fuentes btw. He is smeared on false premises just as you. Their struggle session didn't work so now they're lashing out."

It remains unclear whether or not Candace Owens plans to interview Nick Fuentes now that she has parted ways with The Daily Wire.
