Construction underway on new Chick-fil-A at this shopping center. Here's where to find it
Construction has started on a new location of a popular fast food restaurant at a St. Matthews shopping center.
Chick-fil-A is coming to the Springs Station retail center, replacing an O'Charley's restaurant that closed in 2021.
The new construction 4,500-square-foot restaurant at 962 Breckenridge Lane will have a dual-lane drive-thru, according to planning documents filed with Louisville Metro government.
There will be 74 interior seats and 71 parking spaces situated on the 2-acre property, which O'Charley's sold in 2021 for $1.9 million to RNMC Breckenridge LLC, a company based in Nashville, Tennessee.
The restaurant is slated to open in 2024 and is anticipated to create 80 to 120 jobs, according to the company.
The popular chicken-focused restaurant will be located across the street from First Watch and on the outskirts of the shopping center that includes a Hobby Lobby, Home Depot and Books-A-Million, among other retailers.
The Atlanta-based, privately-owned company has 10 free-standing locations in Jefferson County and three in southern Indiana.
A location at 11801 Plantside Drive in Jeffersontown opened in mid-2022 and a location at 10501 Preston Highway opened this month.
