Conor McGregor is set to star in the upcoming Road House remake, a role in which he has a nude scene that the legendary fighter thought was a bit too much.

Speaking to MMA Fighting, McGregor was asked about the scenes, which see McGregor showing off his backside. The MMA fighter joked that it was “a little too much ass,” but that he performed when needed.

“It was a little too much ass,” McGregor joked. “Just a little too much. The last shot was not necessary. Could have just been the back. The back was solid. I’m just here to perform.”

McGregor went on to say that in order to accomplish it, he channeled his inner Arnold Schwarzenegger in 1984’s The Terminator.

“Arnold Schwarzenegger, who’s a good friend of mine, his lady Heather is my physical therapist, [she] has helped me throughout my career, helped me from my world title from 2013 on, I became real close with Arnold,” McGregor explained when speaking to Backstage. “Arnold’s first debut into the movie game was very similar.

“Boom, lands down, solid as a rock [in The Terminator], if Arnie done it, and f—ing look at his career, I said maybe I’m onto something. I just rocked with it, and I channeled the inner Arnie, the inner Terminator there and just rocked on.”

What do we know about the Road House remake?

“In this adrenaline-fueled reimagining of the 80s cult classic, ex-UFC fighter Dalton (Jake Gyllenhaal) takes a job as a bouncer at a Florida Keys roadhouse, only to discover that this paradise is not all it seems,” reads the remake’s synopsis.

The Road House remake is directed by Doug Liman, who is known for making 2002’s The Bourne Identity, 2005’s Mr. & Mrs. Smith, 2014’s Edge of Tomorrow, and, most recently, 2021’s Chaos Walking with Tom Holland and Daisy Ridley.

With a screenplay written by Anthony Bagarozzi and Chuck Mondry, the movie stars  Jake Gyllenhaal, Daniele Melchior, Billy Magnussen, Jessica Williams, Darren Barnet, Conor McGregor, J.D. Pardo, Arturo Castro, Joaquim de Almeida, Lukas Gage, Travis Van Winkle, B. K. Cannon, Beau Knapp, and Kevin Carroll.
