A carefully restored and sensitively updated 1930s Spanish home along a serpentine street above L.A.’s Beachwood Canyon, long owned by actor Connie Britton, has come to market with an asking price of close to $2 million. The “Friday Night Lights” and “Nashville” alum, a two-time Golden Globe nominee, most recently in 2019 for the limited series “Dirty John,” hopes to earn a substantial windfall on the sale of the not-quite 2,600-square-foot vintage charmer she picked up more than 19 years ago for $765,000.

The tastefully maintained and character-rich three-bed and three-and-a-half-bath home sits high and privately above the street with gorgeous canyon and city views. Vibrant tiles accent stairways inside and out, French doors open to a variety of loggia and terraces, and hand-stenciled wood beams are showcased in the spacious living room. Listings held by Andrew Mortaza and Bryan Castaneda of The Agency indicate the dining room has been converted to a cozy den. A boldly wallpapered breakfast room flows into a roomy, well-preserved kitchen where original lemon-chiffon-colored ceramic tile countertops are offset by minty-green inlays. There are two sun-filled bedrooms on the upper floor, both with en suite bathrooms, and a third bedroom on the lower level has a private terrace and outside entrance that makes it suitable as a home office or guest quarters.

Britton, who will appear opposite Mark Wahlberg on the big screen in the soon-to-be-released “Good Joe Bell,” maintains several homes across the country. Several years ago, she upgraded her L.A. residence to a $3.1 million Mediterranean villa in the Los Feliz area, and she’s hung onto a fully restored early-1900s bungalow in the Travis Heights area of Austin, Texas, since 2010, when it was acquired for nearly $600,000. Tax records show she also owns a cooperative apartment in a landmarked downtown Manhattan building where past and present residents include Richard Gere, Toni Morrison, Megan Ellison and OG supermodels Christy Turlington and Linda Evangelista.
