Conan O’Brien’s Touching Tribute to Abe Vigoda

Actor Abe Vigoda passedaway at the age of 94 on Tuesday, and funnyman Conan O’Brien took a moment to honor him on his late-night show, Conan. Abe had appeared in several Late Night With Conan O’Brien sketches in the ’90s, and the host said, “We would call him up sometimes just hours before the thing and it would usually be the most absurd stuff, and Abe would always come right over and do it.”

Conan shared some of his favorite Abe Vigoda sketches including an alternate Godfather scene, Abe dressed as Yoda, and the time he freed Abe from his cage after announcing that he would be moving to Los Angeles to host The Tonight Show. After the clips Conan simply said, “Thank you, Abe, for all of the laughter.”

Conan airs weeknights at 11pm on TBS.
