The Complete Films of Agnès Varda Coming to Criterion Collection
A comprehensive anthology of Agnès Varda’s films will be released by Criterion Collection. The Complete Films of Agnès Varda gathers all 39 of the late French new wave pioneer’s features, documentaries, and shorts into a 15-disc box set. The extensive collection also includes introductions to the films by Varda herself, archival programs and interviews, behind-the-scenes clips, unfinished work, and a 200-page book with writings on Varda’s work and life by Amy Taubin, Michael Koresky, Ginette Vincendeau, So Mayer, Alexandra Hidalgo, and Pitchfork contributors Rebecca Bengal.

Agnès Varda died last year at the age of 90. Her film Varda by Agnès, included in the Criterion box set, was released a few months after her death.
