Community to gather in celebration of Fate

Sep. 6—Boasting attractions that include fireworks, food trucks and live 90s alternative rock music, Saturday, Sept. 16 will bring the 10th annual Celebrate Fate festival to the community.

Starting at 5 p.m. and centering around Fate City Call (located at 1900 CD Boren Parkway, parking will be in the empty lots north of the city hall and in the right lanes along the road in front of Miss May Vernon Elementary, Bobby Summers Middle School, Billie Stevenson Elementary School and Harry Herndon Elementary School. A shuttle bus service will also be provided at the event.

The featured entertainment includes a fireworks show after dark, live music performed by The Dick Beldings (a 90s rock tribute band from Fort Worth), and a pickleball tournament. Other entertainment will include performers with Inspyral Circus and a magician. There will also be other family-friendly fun like face painting, bounce houses and an arts and crafts area.

Those who attend Celebrate Fate this year will also have their choice from a variety of cuisine courtesy of the events many food trucks.

Food trucks slated to appear this year include: Cheros Latin Kitchen, Cousins Maine Lobster, Doss Tastebudz, JBW Vending LLC, Joe's Backyard BBQ, La Casita Tamales, La Rosita, Mamaritas, Sippie, Spice of Life Mobile Foods, Texas Avalanche, TM Ice Cream and Wetzels Truck DFW.
