Community Foundation announces 'Match Madness' agencies

Oct. 10—The Wabash Valley Community Foundation has announced the 18 organizations selected to participate in the Match Madness pilot program.

From Nov. 1 to March 31, 2024, these organizations will receive $1-for-$1 matches up to $5,000, to all new contributions made to a new or existing agency endowment fund with the Community Foundation.

Upon completion of the matching period, these organizations will have created a financial longevity and sustainability plan that will allow them to flourish as they continue to meet the challenges and opportunities in the Wabash Valley, the foundation said in a news release.

The organizations are:

Clay County: Clay Building Trades Training Corp.; Clay City USA Foundation Inc.; Community Theatre of Clay County; Friends of Wilma & Liston Buell Community Center; Northview Band Boosters; Posey Township Volunteer Fire Department.

Sullivan County: Fairbanks Community Center; Salvation Army of Sullivan County.

Vigo County: Arts Illiana; CANDLES Inc.; Catholic Charities of Terre Haute; Community Theatre of Terre Haute; Reach Services Inc.; Terre Haute Symphony Association Inc.; Vigo County Education Foundation; Vigo County Historical Society; Vigo County YMCA; Wabash Valley Health Center.

Those wishing to contribute to this matching opportunity are encouraged to contact their preferred organization, as each will receive a custom donation link at the start of the matching period, Nov 1.

Contributions of cash, check or IRA charitable rollover will be accepted at the Wabash Valley Community Foundation offices at 200 S. Eighth St., Terre Haute, IN 47807.

Contributions received prior to Nov. 1 will be allocated to the organization's endowment fund but will not be eligible to receive the match.
