Star Party at the Forestry Outreach Center Berea College Forestry Outreach Center — 7:30 — 11:00 p.m. Come hear a short presentation by Jeff Hutton, called "Alignments that have Nothing to do with Your Car". Everything in space is in motion. Sometimes objects (like the Moon and other planets) pass in front of more distant objects. Next April's eclipse of the sun is an example. After dark, if skies are clear, large telescopes will be on hand to view the Moon, Saturn and even more distant stars and other Milky Way objects. As an added bonus, witness the light from the bright star named Antares (sometimes called "anti-Mars) become blocked by the night side of the Moon at 10:42.

Fit Lit: A Walking Book Club Berea Chapter Skate Park West Jefferson Street, Berea — 10:00 — 11:00 a.m. We will meet in person on the fourth Saturday of the month to walk together and discuss a previously selected Hoopla book. You will have already read or listened to the book throughout the month. The hope is that you listen to the book while walking on your own throughout the month, working on your personal fitness and literacy at the same time. If you choose, you can also read an e-copy of the book and walk separately. Come join us for the group walk and discussion!

An Enchanted Bookshop Christmas Auditions (Ages 9-14) Spotlight Acting School — 4:30 — 5:30 p.m. Monthly tuition $85. The auditions will be held at the Spotlight Playhouse, located at 214 Richmond Road in Berea, KY. Open to aspiring actors aged 9-14, this opportunity is perfect for those looking to showcase their talent, regardless of prior experience. The audition process consists of cold readings and following directions, with optional monologues welcomed.

Colonel Football Fan Day Roy Kidd Stadium — 5:00 — 9:00 p.m. EKU football will hold its annual Colonel Fan Day on Saturday, August 26 at CG Bank Field at Roy Kidd Stadium. The event is free to attend and will begin at 5:00 p.m. with an open scrimmage scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Colonel fans of all ages are encouraged to come meet the EKU football team. Colonel football players will be signing autographs and meeting fans from 5:00 p.m. until 5:45 p.m. inside the Rick Erdmann Olympic Sports Training Center gymnasium. Fans can also enjoy games inside the gym and take photos with EKU football gear and with the mascot. Food trucks and DJ music will be stationed in the RV lot with water inflatables inside the stadium next to the RV lot. The first 100 fans will also receive a voucher for free ice cream.
