Common & John Legend, Framed

I was watching the Academy Awards a couple of Sundays ago, and thought  Common and John Legend stole the show with their live rendition of “Glory,” from the film, Selma. The affecting ballad lent a strong voice to the movie and the awards show, and it was no surprise when it took home the Oscar for Best Original Song.

I decided that “Glory” had to be in Framed right away, because I’ve got my hand on the pulse of pop culture.  And also on a bottle of Michelob Ultra.  What the hell, I’ve got two hands.

John Legend (real name: John Mythological) is no stranger to awards, having won nine Grammys and one Golden Globe.  Common’s also brought home a couple of Grammys and three BET Hip Hop Awards.  Now, in the wake of their Oscar win, there’s talk of the duo collaborating on an album.

We can only hope!  But until that day comes, please have some fun with this week’s Framed, which sheds completely new light on the “Glory” video!
