Comic Con 2022 Schedule: See When the Biggest Shows and Movies Are Taking Over San Diego

After some virtual and scaled-down events, San Diego Comic Con is back.

The 2022 edition returns in full force to the San Diego Convention Center from July 21-24, bringing some of the most anticipated TV shows and movies of the year to Hall H and the show floor.

THURSDAY, JULY 21

10:45-11:45 a.m. – ABC’S “THE ROOKIE” AND “THE ROOKIE: FEDS” – Nathan Fillion (“Castle,” “Firefly”) and Niecy Nash-Betts (“Claws,” “Reno 9-1-1”) join executive producers Alexi Hawley and Terence Paul Winter to discuss how worlds will collide when “The Rookie” franchise expands with “The Rookie: Feds,” coming to ABC this fall. The lively Q&A session will be moderated by Damian Holbrook (senior writer, TV Guide Magazine). Ballroom 20

12 p.m. — “Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves” —  Paramount Pictures brings Paramount and eOne’s DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: HONOR AMONG THIEVES to kick off the in-person return to San Diego Comic-Con with the FIRST Hall H panel of SDCC 2022. Hall H panel attendees will receive an exclusive, collectible DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: HONOR AMONG THIEVES poster. Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is in theaters March 3, 2023

1:00 p.m. — Ghosts — TV’s #1 new series and fan-favorite phenomenon Ghosts follows Samantha and Jay, a couple who learn that their new dream house is inhabited by ghosts that only Samantha can see and hear. Series stars Rose McIver, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Brandon Scott Jones, Richie Moriarty, Danielle Pinnock, Asher Grodman, Román Zaragoza, Sheila Carrasco, Rebecca Wisocky, and Devan Chandler Long join executive producers Joe Port and Joe Wiseman for a “spirited” panel conversation and a look at never-before-seen footage. 1:30 p.m. — “Teen Wolf: The Movie” — Panelists: Series creator and showrunner Jeff Davis and Teen Wolf the Movie cast members preview the upcoming Paramount+ film. Hall H.

1:30-2:30 p.m. – “ABBOTT ELEMENTARY”  – Star and executive producer Quinta Brunson, and stars Tyler James Williams, Janelle James, Chris Perfetti, Lisa Ann Walter, William Stanford Davis and Sheryl Lee Ralph join executive producers Justin Halpern and Patrick Schumacker for a LIVE virtual panel to discuss the freshman series breakout hit ahead of its season two return on ABC this fall. 2:15-3:15 p.m. – “NATIONAL TREASURE: EDGE OF HISTORY” – The cast and executive producers will share an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the upcoming Disney+ Original series, which is an expansion of the hit film franchise. 4:15 — “THE WHEEL OF TIME: ORIGINS” — the animated digital short companion series to hit fantasy epic The Wheel of Time on Prime Video. The Wheel of Time: Origins brings fans deeper into the lore of The Wheel of Time and its vast history and subjects. Join the creative team and a surprise guest behind The Wheel of Time: Origins as they treat fans to a deep dive conversation into the making of this beloved companion series, along with an exclusive special video presentation that promises to deliver some Comic-Con magic to attendees. 4:30-5:30 p.m. — SHATNER ON SHATNER — Join acclaimed actor, writer, spoken word artist and astronaut William Shatner and moderator Kevin Smith as they discuss Bill’s illustrious and amazing career, upcoming projects, and his new deep-dive documentary from Legion M by acclaimed pop culture documentarian Alexandre O. Philippe that takes an up-close, intimate exploration of Shatner’s personal journey over his nine decades on Earth. Kevin and Bill will be joined by Philippe and producers from Legion M and Exhibit A Pictures and will end the panel with what promises to be unforgettable Q&A with the audience. 6:00-7:00 p.m. – “KOALA MAN” – A brand-new animated comedy from the creators of “Rick and Morty” and “Pokémon Detective Pikachu” coming to Hulu, “Koala Man” makes its triumphant debut at San Diego Comic Con with creator, EP, and the Koala himself Michael Cusack, and EPs Justin Roiland, Dan Hernandez, and Benji Samit. Learn everything about what the suburban Aussie superhero is all about as the team unveils exclusive footage, breaking news, and more! Room: 6BCF

7:15-8:15 p.m. – “SOLAR OPPOSITES” – “Solar Opposites” makes its triumphant return to San Diego Comic-Con! Join our panel for an out-of-this-world conversation with co-creators and EPs Justin Roiland and Mike McMahan and EP Josh Bycel who will discuss the newly released season three on Hulu and what the aliens are up to later this year, including exciting exclusive clips. FRIDAY, JULY 22

10:30 a.m. — “THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE RINGS OF POWER” — For the very first time, the heroic legends of the fabled Second Age of Middle-earth’s history are coming to life. This epic drama is set thousands of years before the events of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, and will take viewers back to an era in which great powers were forged, kingdoms rose to glory and fell to ruin, unlikely heroes were tested, hope hung by the finest of threads, and the greatest villain that ever flowed from Tolkien’s pen threatened to cover all the world in darkness. Beginning in a time of relative peace, the series follows an ensemble cast of characters, both familiar and new, as they confront the long-feared re-emergence of evil to Middle-earth. From the darkest depths of the Misty Mountains, to the majestic forests of the elf-capital of Lindon, to the breathtaking island kingdom of Númenor, to the furthest reaches of the map, these kingdoms and characters will carve out legacies that live on long after they are gone. 11:45 a.m. — Marvel Studios — Marvel Studios head of streaming, television and animation Brad Winderbaum; head of visual development Ryan Meinerding; and special guests dive into all things animation with exclusive looks at X-Men 97, Marvel Zombies, What If…? season 2, and more.

12:30 p.m. — “Tales of the Walking Dead” — Introducing a new series within The Walking Dead Universe, cast and creatives discuss the anthology of life-and-death, high-stakes survival within Tales of the Walking Dead. Cast will appear to discuss their exploration of unique stories within these stand-alone episodes focused on both new and established characters within the walker apocalypse. Creators will share their thoughts on single-episode storytelling, and cast will share behind-the-scenes anecdotes about these stories. Plus, view the premiere of the series’ trailer. Hall H

1:00-2:00 p.m. – “THE PROUD FAMILY: LOUDER AND PROUDER” –  Creator and executive producer Bruce W. Smith, executive producer Ralph Farquhar, and series stars Kyla Pratt (Penny), Paula Jai Parker (Trudy), JoMarie Payton (Suga Mama), Soleil Moon Frye (Zoey) and Alisa Reyes (LaCienega) discuss the critically acclaimed Disney+ revival of the groundbreaking animated series “The Proud Family” and share a behind-the-scenes look at the first season, moderated by Janine Rubenstein, editor-at-large, PEOPLE Magazine and host of PEOPLE Every Day. 1:30 p.m. — “The Walking Dead” — Cast and creatives of the flagship series The Walking Dead discuss the highly anticipated remaining episodes of the decade-long apocalyptic drama. Celebrate the monumental journey of this beloved series and characters as we follow their arcs in the final eight episodes of this epic final season coming to AMC and AMC+ this fall. 1:30 — “PAPER GIRLS” — From Amazon Studios, Legendary Television, and Plan B comes Paper Girls, a coming-of-age sci-fi adventure series based on the best-selling graphic novels by Brian K. Vaughan and Cliff Chiang. Join the cast, creators, and executive producers as they reveal an in-depth look at what to expect when this series drops on Prime Video on July 29. Paper Girls is a high-stakes personal journey following four paper girls—Erin, Mac, Tiffany, and KJ—who are out on their delivery route in the early morning hours after Halloween 1988 when they become caught in the crossfire between warring time-travelers, changing the course of their lives forever. Transported into the future, these girls must figure out a way to get back home to the past, a journey that will bring them face-to-face with the grown-up versions of themselves and the Old Watch, a militant faction of time-travelers who have outlawed time travel so that they can remain in power. In order to survive, the girls will need to overcome their differences and learn to trust each other, and themselves. Ballroom 20. 3:00-3:45 p.m. – “BOB’S BURGERS” – The Emmy Award-winning animated FOX series “Bob’s Burgers” makes its triumphant return to San Diego hot off the critically acclaimed release of “The Bob’s Burgers Movie!” Creator and executive producer Loren Bouchard, executive producer Nora Smith and director/producer Bernard Derriman will break news about the upcoming season; and the always entertaining cast including H. Jon Benjamin, John Roberts, Kristen Schaal, Eugene Mirman, Dan Mintz and Larry Murphy will have you howling with laughter with never-before-seen footage followed by a lively panel discussion and audience Q&A. 4:00-4:45 p.m. – FX’s “LITTLE DEMON”: Exclusive Pre-Series Premiere Sneak-Peek Screening and Q&A – It’s been long prophesized that a malevolent force would alter the universe for the rest of time, and you can get a front-row seat! Join FXX in celebrating its newest animated comedy, “Little Demon,” heading to the metaphysical realm of San Diego in advance of its August 25 series premiere. Thirteen years after being impregnated by Satan (Danny DeVito), reluctant mother Laura (Aubrey Plaza) and her Antichrist daughter, Chrissy (Lucy DeVito), attempt to live an ordinary life in Delaware but are constantly thwarted by monstrous forces, including Satan, who yearns for custody of his daughter’s soul. 5:00-6:00 p.m. – FX’s “ARCHER”: Exclusive Season 13 Screening and Q&A – “Archer,” the award-winning animated comedy series, returns to San Diego in celebration of its upcoming 13th season! This year, Archer and The Agency have been acquired by the spy conglomerate known as IIA and struggle to find their identity. Will they be able to maintain their independence, or will they succumb to their corporate overlords? Join us for a not-to-be-missed exclusive screening of the season 13 opener, followed by a spirited Q&A with H. 11:30 a.m. — House of the Dragon — Based on George R. R. Martin’s Fire & Blood, the HBO Original series House of the Dragon is set 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones and tells the story of House Targaryen. 2:30 p.m. — The Sandman — Prepare to enter The Dreaming as the live-action adaptation of Neil’s Gaiman’s beloved DC comic series arrives in Hall H of San Diego Comic-Con. There is another world that awaits us when we close our eyes and sleep–a place called the Dreaming, where The Sandman, Master of Dreams (Tom Sturridge), gives shape to our deepest fears and fantasies. But when Dream is unexpectedly captured and held prisoner for a century, his absence sets off a series of events that will change both the dreaming and waking worlds forever. The Sandman is a rich, character-driven blend of myth and dark fantasy woven together over the course of 10 epic chapters following Dream’s many adventures. 5:30 p.m. — “The Resort” — Peacock’s upcoming mystery thriller “The Resort” will hold its world premiere at San Diego Comic-Con. A special advance screening of the first episode will be held in the Indigo Ballroom, followed by a panel discussion with creator Andy Siara and stars William Jackson Harper, Cristin Milioti, Luis Gerardo Méndez, and Nina Bloomgarden. “The Resort” is a “multi-generational, coming-of-age love story disguised as a fast-paced mystery about the disappointment of time. An anniversary trip puts a marriage to the test when the couple finds themselves embroiled in one of the Mayan Riviera’s most bizarre unsolved mysteries that took place fifteen years prior.”

6:30 p.m. — Kevin Smith panel — Kevin Smith is like the gum under the table at which actual celebrity guests sit during much better panels in Hall H: The guy just keeps sticking around. Not-so-Silent Bob returns to the Hall H stage with the cast of his first feature Clerks as they world premiere the opening 5 minutes of Lionsgate’s Clerks III! See Dante and Randal and Jay and Silent Bob on the Hall H screen before anyone else gets to see them in theaters this fall! Whether he’s dishing details about the just-announced season 2 of Masters of the Universe or rambling on about Marvel movies and the Mandalorian, ComiKev makes Comic-Con FAN-tastic! Hall H

6:45 – 7:45 p.m. – “HAMSTER & GRETEL” – Join the cast and creative team behind Disney Channel’s “Hamster & Gretel” as they present a first look at the hilarious new superhero series before it premieres. Renowned animation veteran and creator Dan Povenmire, co-creator of the hit series “Phineas and Ferb,” will be joined by co-producer and story editor Joanna Hausmann, and select cast members (to be announced), for a discussion about the world and the characters of this new music-filled animated series, moderated by actress and comedian Liza Koshy. 6:45 – 7:45pm — DARKNIGHTS AND DAYDREAMS: FROM BATMAN TO BROADWAY —  How far would you go to make your dreams come true? Devastated by how Batman was portrayed as a campy joke in the 1960s television series, teenager Michael Uslan vowed to show the world the dark and serious vigilante envisioned by Bill Finger and Bob Kane.
