Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce; Trey Kennedy

When Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce went public with their relationship in September 2023, they instantly became the "it" couple. Swifties have predicted an engagement for months at this point—and recently, comedian Trey Kennedy hilariously imagined how the NFL player would ask Swift's dad for his blessing.

Late last week, the TikTok star posted a video of himself acting out how Kelce might ask Scott Swift for Taylor's hand in marriage. Kennedy hilariously (and accurately) portrayed both men. The video has since attracted more than 578,000 views and over 51,000 likes.

"I'm trying to tie down Tay Tay," Kennedy, as Kelce, said to Scott. "She's already blessed me, so I hope giving out blessings runs in the family."

The Kansas City Chiefs tight then launched into persuading a yes from the pop star's father.

"We're meant to be, sir. Hey, I'm a tortured poet, too, and I didn't even know it," he said with an exaggerated laugh. "And the feeling of winning the Super Bowls is nothing compared to the feeling of being with your daughter, sir. She gives me love, support, strength."

He added, "I already got my rings. It's time to give her one."

Kennedy, as Scott, replied, "Now, you know it's going to be tough if we let a Chief in the family because we are Eagles," to which Kennedy (as Kelce) replied, "Sir, I've been soaring on your daughter's wings ever since I met her. No, like, literally. She private jets everywhere."

"Kelce" continued, "I ain't faking you out, sir, I promise. I'm going to leave the play fake up to my boy, Pat Mahomes. He's going to be my best man."

For the Chiefs quarterback, Kennedy leaned into the running joke that Mahomes' voice sounds like Kermit the Frog. "You're going great, Trav," Kennedy, as Mahomes, said from the phone. "Can't wait to hop down the aisle. Hope the hors d'oeuvres are insects!"

After agreeing to a prenup, Scott declared, "Well sure, let's do it. Why not? I mean, what's the worst that could happen—you get divorced, and we get an even better album?"

"That won't happen, sir, I promise you that," Kelce assured his (hypothetical) future father-in-law. "Juliet finally found her Romeo."

"You do know how that story ends, right?" Scott replied. (Spoiler alert: He did not.)

The skit concluded with Scott thanking Kelce for stopping by and calling for "Bodyguard No. 43" to see him out. In the perfect ending, the NFL player shouted, "Cleveland!!"

In the comments, Tayvis/Swelce shippers reacted to the hilarious scenario, with one TikTik user adding, "Travis at the wedding: you gotta fight for your right to PARTYYY."

Another person commented, "this might be travis kelce," while someone else echoed, "Why do I believe Travis would totally say, 'I got my ring, time to get TayTay hers?'"

Yet another TikTok user wrote, "@New Heights I need Jason [Kelce] to see this more than Travis."

Meanwhile, someone pointed out, "Cmon....we all know that Jason will be the best man....Pat will be next in line. 😂"
