(FOX40.COM) — In a recent episode of stand-up comedian Daniel Tosh’s podcast “Tosh Show” the former “Tosh.0” host and creator described how a Sacramento comedy club helped establish his love for Tahoe.

Tosh’s May 7 episode with his guest Vice President of Live Nation Comedy Touring Andy Levitt starts with the host going through old calendars marked with different shows he performed at across the country.

One of those venues was the Sacramento Punchline, where he first performed from Feb. 23, 2000, to Feb. 27, 2000, according to Tosh.

“I am opening for Dave Attell. That was a big deal for me, I was excited,” Tosh recounted during the podcast.

Tosh said he earned $500, “plus accommodations,” for the week’s worth of shows, but money was just one valuable thing he gained from his visits to the capital city.

“That was where my love of Tahoe started because I would drive over to Sierra Tahoe every day, I would snowboard and then drive back and do the shows at night,” Tosh said during the podcast.

In previous episodes of the podcast, that began about five months ago, Tosh says that he also enjoys snowboarding at Palisades Tahoe and its sister mountain at Alpine Meadows.

Tosh recently returned to the Sacramento area in April as part of a nine-city tour where he performed at Hard Rock Live in Wheatland.
