Comedian And Actor Kirk Fox Opens Up About His Life And Watch A Sneak Peek Of His New Comedy Special

Kirk Fox says that he didn’t grow up wanting to be a comedian. In fact, he came to Hollywood as a tennis pro from the pro tour and taught tennis. But he says funny is in his genes, and once he took the stage for the first time at the Comedy Store on November 10, 2002, he was hooked.

“Three minutes, and they did not laugh for two minutes 55 seconds,” Fox says of the audience during his first performance. “I loved it. It gave me something to do at night.”

Fox, who continues to perform stand up and has acted in numerous movies and televisions shows, joins Dr. Phil on Friday’s episode to talk about his new Showtime comedy special, “Kirk Fox: That Guy.” Watch a sneak peek of the special in the video above, and watch Kirk Fox’s entire comedy special tonight, Friday, April 13 at 10 p.m. ET/9 p.m. CT on Showtime.
