Comedian-actor Chris Tucker to stop at Palace Theatre on Oct. 10 during "The Legend Tour"

For the first time in more than a decade, comedian-actor Chris Tucker — widely known for his roles as Smokey in the 1995 comedy "Friday" and Detective James Carter in the "Rush Hour" franchise — is embarking on a tour that includes a show at the Palace Theatre, 34 W. Broad St., on Oct. 10.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at cbusarts.com. There will be an eight-ticket limit per person/household.
Prior to his lengthy movie career, Tucker was a favorite on Russell Simmons’ "HBO Def Comedy Jam" in the early '90s.

"I started my career doing stand-up in comedy clubs and it's stand-up comedy that prepared me for all of my movie roles. I'm looking forward to getting back to my roots," the 51-year-old performer said in a press release.
"I love performing live, there's nothing like the energy of a live crowd and making people laugh. I'm excited to be back out on tour."
