The Columbus Taco Fest is taking place this Saturday and Sunday.

The fifth annual Columbus Taco Fest is set to take place at Genoa Park, 303 W. Broad St., on Saturday.

The free, two-day event does not require tickets and is set to feature local taco vendors, live music, activities and more. The festival takes place Saturday, noon to 10 p.m., and Sunday, noon to 8 p.m.

Activities include a VIP tequila garden and tequila tasting, and a puppy dress-up contest. The contest will feature three categories: Chihuahuas in the main event, small dogs of any breed and big dogs of any breed. Dogs will be judged on creativity and uniqueness, and bonus points will be awarded for matching pet and owner costumes.

All of the registration fees are set to go towards the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Owners could pre-register their dogs online or can register during the festival.

A portion of the festival's overall proceeds will be donated to the Columbus Diaper Coalition, an organization dedicated to supplying diapers to families in need.

The festival has taken place in Genoa Park since 2018, outside of a brief move to Goodale Park in 2021.
