Colton Underwood Tearfully Says 'I Don't Deserve to Be Anybody's Backup Plan' During Hometown Date

It’s time for Colton Underwood to meet the parents.

On Monday’s upcoming episode of The Bachelor, the current ABC leading man will meet the families of his four remaining contestants — Hannah G., Cassie, Caelynn and Tayshia — and come face-to-face with the fathers.

In a PEOPLE exclusive teaser of the hometown dates, Underwood, 27, tells one of the family patriarchs, “I would like to marry your daughter.”

The episode also promises to serve up lots of tears, screaming and Underwood hopping over a large fence and disappearing. “He is gone,” says host Chris Harrison.

Although it’s the contestants who are often left crying, the Bachelor is the one who experiences feelings of uncertainty.

During a confessional, he also admits, “I don’t know what the future holds for me.”

This, and much more drama, is all leading to what ABC says is “all leading to the most intense, unprecedented ending in Bachelor history.”

The Bachelor airs Mondays (8 p.m. ET) on ABC.
