Colt Ford Cancels Tour Dates As He Remains In ICU Following Heart Attack

Country singer Colt Ford remains in the ICU 11 days after suffering a heart attack. Due to these circumstances, he has canceled tour dates through August 2024.
Ford completed his show earlier this month, but sirens were heard blaring shortly after he left the stage. It was later revealed the response was due to Ford's heart attack.
According to a press release shared with The Blast, the country-rap star remains in the Intensive Care Unit at a Scottsdale, Arizona hospital following a heart attack after his show in Gilbert, Arizona, at Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row on April 4, 2024.

Ford's rep says he has made significant progress in his recovery within the past week, and his condition is slowly but steadily improving.
Due to these current circumstances, Ford’s scheduled tour dates through August 2024, have been canceled. Refunds are available at the point of purchase for any canceled dates. Previously purchased tickets will be honored for any rescheduled dates.
At this time, Ford’s family is requesting privacy and appreciates fans’ continued thoughts and prayers.

Who Is Colt Ford?
Colt Ford is best known in the country music industry for his song 'Dirt Road Anthem,' which was recorded by Jason Aldean and became a No. 1 hit. In 2011, Ford was nominated for 'Vocal Event of the Year' at the Academy of Country Music Awards for 'Cold Beer' with Jamey Johnson.
In 2012, he had five consecutive Top 10 debuts on the Billboard Top Country Albums Chart with 'Declaration of Independence.' Two years later, in 2014, 'Thanks for Listening' rose to the Top 10 of the Top 200, with the album reaching #1 on Billboard Rap & Independent charts. He also had six songs on the Hot Country Songs Chart with 'Back,' featuring Jake Owen, hitting the Top 40.
In 2017, Colt Ford released his sixth studio album, 'Love Hope Faith.' “I’ve been more nervous about this record than ever, and I think this is the best record I’ve ever made,” the singer-songwriter told Billboard of the project. “I pushed myself further than I ever have as an artist. But, I still maintained who I am. I still have things on the album like ‘My Truck’ for those hard-core country fans that love the way I got here. I don’t want to forget that, and I never will, but I pushed myself with a lot of other songs on this record where people will say ‘Man, that’s you?’ I love that.”

Last year, he released a new album 'Must Be Country' that features collaborations with other country artists, including Dillon Carmichael, Brantley Gilbert, Matt Stell, Kevin Gates, Tracy Lawrence, Josh Mirenda, Tracy Byrd, and more.
"The fact is, there is room for all of us. When I talk to younger artists now, I'm always sure to tell them not to get caught up in some of this stuff that can hurt you," the country artist told PEOPLE of the music industry. "Some of the things you think are important don't mean a damn thing. This could all go away very quickly. Enjoy every moment."
