These Colorado outdoor concert series are some of the best in the nation

DENVER (KDVR) — Colorado is home to some epic concerts, from the iconic performances at Red Rocks Amphitheatre to the headliners at Fiddler’s Green. So, it would only make sense that a new study found two of the best outdoor concert series in the country are right here in Colorado.

USA Today released a new study that asked experts and readers to pick the best outdoor concert series in the country. These series are usually free, family-friendly and offer all sorts of music.

Out of the list, two concert series in Denver and Vail were chosen, and they’re just starting up for the summer.

No. 8 Levitt Pavilion

The Levitt Pavilion ranked eighth in the country. It’s a free concert series in Ruby Hill Park that started in May and goes throughout the summer and into October. While it’s a free event, you can RSVP for the concert.

Levitt Pavilion was nationally rated as one of the best, however, another Colorado location ranked even higher – the highest in the nation.

No. 1 Hot Summer Nights

Hot Summer Nights in Vail ranked first in the United States for the best concert series. The free series is tucked away in the mountains with eight bands playing this year, starting in mid-June.

  6. Concerts on the Creek – Sylva, North Carolina

  7. YLC Wednesday at the Square – New Orleans, Louisiana

  8. Levitt Pavilion Denver Concert Series – Denver, Colorado

  9. Kirkland Summer Concerts – Kirkland, Washington

  10. Millennium Park Summer Music Series – Chicago, Illinois
