Colonial Heights Dunkin’ grand opening: First 50 in drive-thru, free coffee for a year

COLONIAL HEIGHTS — How would you like to win free coffee for a year? Tomorrow, the first 50 guests in the drive-thru line at the new Dunkin' in Colonial Heights will be gifted that reward.

Dunkin's Next Generation store at 1603 Boulevard will have a grand opening celebration this weekend. On Feb. 5 and 6, guests can enjoy a free medium hot or iced coffee.

On Saturday, WKJS will be onsite from 8 - 10 a.m., and Cuppy the Dunkin’ mascot will be greeting guests throughout the day. At 9:00 a.m., local Dunkin’ franchisee Gregg Nigro will host a ribbon-cutting.

After the ceremony, ASK Childhood Cancer Foundation will be presented with a check for a $3,000 grant on behalf of Nigro’s network and the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation.

The 1,750 square-foot restaurant employs 20 crew members and is open daily from 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The Next Gen location features a convenient drive-thru, indoor seating for 15 and complimentary Wi-Fi.

Dunkin’s signature cold beverages are now served through an innovative tap system serving eight consistently cold beverages such as cold brew coffee, coffees, iced teas and nitro infused cold brew coffee. Hand-crafted drinks are also made to order by crew members using top-quality flavor-maximizing espresso machines.

Next Gen restaurants are built with sustainable and efficient elements like LED lighting, high-efficiency mechanical equipment, low-flow faucets and more. On average, DD Green Achievement restaurants are 33% more energy efficient compared to conventional Dunkin' restaurants.
