CollegeHumor is adding some fresh faces to its cast.
The comedy website on Wednesday announced that Ally Beardsley, Rekha Shankar and Raphael Chestang - all sketch comedy artists, writers and improvisers - would be the newest members of its talent pool. They join longtime celebrated castmembers Mike Trapp, Zac Oyama, Grant O'Brien and Katie Marovich.
"We are very pleased to have Ally, Rekha and Raphael join our ranks," CollegeHumor's president of original content Sam Reich said in a statement. "And I just want to reiterate that their hiring has nothing to do with videotape they do not have of my activities in Russian hotel rooms."
Beardsley is newly back in the U.S. after performing for three years with the cast of Boom Chicago in Amsterdam. She performs regularly at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in Los Angeles.
Shankar is a writer and comedian from Brooklyn, N.Y., who has written for comedian Hari Kondabolu, MTV News and Reductress. She also has done videos for Clickhole and her independent sketch group, DUMB video, and is an improviser at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre.
Chestang first began his acting career doing commercials and stage plays. Since 2012, he has been writing and performing sketch comedy all over Los Angeles at theaters including the Upright Citizens Brigade, The Second City Hollywood, iO West, Nerdist and The Pack.
CollegeHumor alums have graduated to writing, acting and producing gigs at Saturday Night Live, The Daily Show, The Simpsons, Last Week Tonight, Inside Amy Schumer and The Tonight Show Starrring Jimmy Fallon.
In addition, CollegeHumor's offshoot production company Big Breakfast has created series including TruTV's Adam Ruins Everything and Pop TV's recently announced Hot Date With Emily and Murph.
