College recruiter fired after arranging students by skin color

A college recruiter has been fired after his visit to an Oklahoma City high school left several students “disgusted” and some in tears. The incident occurred when a recruiter from Oklahoma Christian University visited a class at Harding Charter Preparatory, KFOR-TV reported. During the visit, the unnamed man allegedly asked students to line up based on their skin color and hairstyle. The recruiter, reportedly a white man, then asked students to reorder themselves, so those with the “nappiest hair” were standing in the back of the line. Oklahoma Christian University released a statement to KFOR-TV shortly after the incident, stating that the recruiter had been fired. The college also condemned the man’s actions and promised to apologize to the students in person. Harding’s principal, Steven Stefanick also condemned the recruiter’s behavior, calling his comments “inappropriate and hurtful”
