Wrestling showcase at Deerassic Park

Deerassic Park will play host to the 2024 Bulldawg Brawl, an Ohio Athletic Conference open and novice point series wrestling tournament on Saturday, Jan. 20. Spend your day watching and cheering on your favorite college athletes as they compete on the mats. The schedule is packed with three different divisions, with wrestling starting at 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m. Tickets for the event are $5. Those age 12 and under are free. Concessions will be available throughout the day. Tickets can be purchased at the door. Benefit helps with medical bills

Known around the area as Granny Joan, the late Lore City resident Joan Albaugh valiantly fought her long battle with stage four lung cancer. A benefit to help her husband, Jerry, with the costs associated with her treatment is being held from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Cambridge VFW Post 2901. A spaghetti dinner will be available by donation, along with a 50/50 raffle, a Chinese auction and a bake sale. For more information or to donate to the event, contact Gail Workman at 740-489-5755. AC/DC tribute show in Marietta

Thunderstruck, America's AC/DC tribute band will perform in Marietta on Jan. 19. The high-energy group is sure to shake you all night long, as you enjoy a tribute to one of America's iconic rock bands. The event starts at 8 p.m. with doors opening at 7 p.m. There is no opening band. Tickets start at $30, and each ticket will have a $5 convenience fee. Brewery Comedy Tour comes to Guernsey Brewhouse

Laugh until you cry at the Guernsey Brewhouse as they host the Brewery Comedy Tour. Grab a pint and relax as you hear headliner Morgan Anderson deliver the funny. According to the Facebook event page, "She’s performed in clubs all over the country and most recently opened for Doug Stanhope and Annie Lederman at The Comedy Store in LA. Anderson is also a no-holds-barred roast battler and is considered to be one of the best in Northern California." The show is scheduled to run from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Jan. 20. Bad Boys of R&B at Akron Civic

Jodeci, also known as the Bad Boys of R&B, will be making an appearance at the Akron Civic Theatre on Friday. Hear all of your favorites from the '90s R&B group.
