Colin Firth & Wife Livia Giuggioli Split After Her Rumored Romance With A Journalist

Colin Andrew Firth is a known English actor who has received many accolades in the industry. He was born on September 10, 1960. In 2010, he won an Academy Award for his role in a film titled "The King's Speech."

Firth began his career in the late 80s, but became more prominent when he starred in the adaptation of a movie titled "Pride and Prejudice." After this role, Firth became a force to be reckoned within the industry and this earned his several amazing roles in prominent movies.

He is a sworn member of "Survival International" where he campaigns for indigenous tribal people to have their rights.

In 1989, Firth first started dating his co-star, Meg Tilly and a year later, the couple welcomed a son. Firth decided to stay away from television for a while, but in 1994, they split up and he picked up from where he left off. Three years later, Firth got married to Livia Giuggioli, who was an assistant to a producer from Italy. The couple has two beautiful sons together and has been married for over twenty-two years. However, reports have confirmed that the couple have decided to get a divorce.

In an announcement today, the news was confirmed and the actor insisted that he and his ex-wife have decided to remain good friends for the sake of their kids. This is not shocking to everyone because in March last year, it was revealed that Giuggioli had an affair with a childhood friend of hers. Reports also confirmed that the affair with an Italian journalist, Marco Brancaccia, had been going on for a year. The drama unfolded when Giuggioli accused her lover of harassing her with frightening messages.

Giuggioli also mentioned that she was being stalked by her lover, and this got the attention of the police. Firth confronted his ex-wife about an email she received from Brancaccia in March 2018.

Later on, Brancaccia revealed everything to Firth and said that the email was only a plot to wound the "King's Speech" star. Although the couple was still trying to sort out their differences, the email put this effort in jeopardy. Aside from the email, pictures of Giuggioli were sent to Firth and this drove them further apart.

It is said that the couple has decided to go their separate ways, but still good news that they have decided to remain friends.
