A Dynamite Cast

A lot of people have been wondering "Do we really need a new Batman movie?" However, director Matt Reeves continues to make a strong case for The Batman with every new bit of casting news. Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne, Zoë Kravitz as Catwoman, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon, and Paul Dano as The Riddler are truly a great foundational cast.

Taking On The Role Of The Penguin

The latest bit of casting news continues this hot streak: according to reports, Colin Farrell is in talks to play Oswald Cobblepot, a.k.a. The Penguin. This would round out the trio of classic Batman villains appearing in the film.

His Second Super Hero Role

This isn't Farrell's first shot at comic book villainy. He played Bullseye in the universally panned Daredevil film, so here's hoping he gets a role more befitting his talent in The Batman.

Finding Alfred

Additionally, Andy Serkis is also rumored to take on the role of Alfred Pennyworth, Bruce Wayne's loyal butler. Serkis worked closely with Reeves for the Planet Of The Apes reboot series, so it makes sense that he would continue that working relationship.

Warner Brothers is working hard to improve the DC cinematic universe, and it seems like they're really taking the correct steps to right the boat.
