Colin Farrell Sells English Country–Style House in Hollywood Hills for $1.3 Million

Colin Farrell is letting go of a little piece of the British Isles in L.A.

The Irish-born actor, 43, recently sold his Hollywood Hills home for $1.3 million, PEOPLE confirms. An English country-style abode, the 2,736-square-foot house features four bedrooms and three bathrooms, according to The Agency, which represented the buyer.

The Gentlemen star bought the cottage in 2000 with his ex Alicja Bachleda-Curuś, according to the Los Angeles Times. He listed it for sale in October.

With period details that date back to the 1920s, the structure boasts leaded-glass windows with canyon views, as well as a wood-burning fireplace nestled in a living room with vaulted ceilings.

The galley-style kitchen has staircase that leads to several outdoor patios and deck areas, ideal for indoor-outdoor living.

French doors in a formal dining room also lead outside onto a covered balcony. Below, in the fenced and gated grounds is about a quarter-acre of greenery and mature trees.

News of the sale comes as it was revealed the actor has signed on for a major upcoming movie role.

On Monday, director Matt Reeves — who’s helming The Batman, with Robert Pattinson playing the superhero — confirmed that Farrell will portray the comic book villain, the Penguin.

Farrell joins a growing star-studded cast for the summer 2021 blockbuster that also includes Zoë Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon, and Peter Sarsgaard in a mystery role, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
