Colin Farrell, Amanda Peet, Abigail Breslin in EW's Casting Net
• Identity theft brings the yuks when Amanda Peet joins Jason Bateman and Melissa McCarthy in a movie currently named (you guessed it!) Identity Thief. [Variety]
• Mia Wasikowska partakes in some unpardonable Frenchness in a Madame Bovary reboot. Paul Giamatti is also signed on to play town apothecary Monsieur Homais in Gustave Flaubert’s classic tragedy about a woman who escapes a loveless marriage through adultery. [Variety]
• Abigail Breslin may play a penniless, pregnant teen in a big-screen adaptation of Kristin Hannah‘s The Things We Do For Love. [Deadline]
• New Girl‘s loveable grump Jake Johnson will star opposite Zoe Kazan in The Pretty One. In the Black List-approved script, Kazan plays a woman who falls in love with her dead twin’s next door neighbor (Johnson) while masquerading as her sister. [Deadline]
• Just two weeks after it seemed certain Colin Farrell would be our night in shining armor in David Dobkin‘s Arthur & Lancelot, the star has dropped from the project due to scheduling conflicts. No replacement has been announced, though Gary Oldman‘s name has been bandied as a possible Merlin. [Deadline]
• American Horror Story‘s Evan Peters and Juno Temple have signed on for Truck Stop, an indie coming-of-age ’70s drama in which Temple plays a runaway who befriends Peters’ teen afflicted with cerebral palsy. [CinemaBlend]
• The Devil Inside‘s Simon Quarterman re-teams with his Devil director for the similarly constructed horror flick WER. Criminal Minds‘ AJ Cook will also travel to Romania for the werewolf legal thriller. [Deadline]
