Cole Swindell and fiancée Courtney Little are getting married!

The “Middle of a Memory” singer proposed to Little in May 2023. Following the engagement, the country artist told PEOPLE, "It's hard to put into words how happy I am. ... She makes me better, and I'm the happiest I've ever been in all parts of my life."

Swindell and Little got engaged right at the site of their first date — on a farm north of Nashville, where Little starred in Swindell’s music video for his 2022 song “Some Habits."

"That was kind of like our first date," he previously told PEOPLE. "Pretending like you're in a relationship on camera — that was pretty awkward. That was the first time we really got a chance to hang. We went out after we shot the video, and we've been together ever since."

Swindell added: "It's a pretty, pretty wild story, but you never know. They say songs are powerful. I feel like now, after meeting her, I can finally check all the boxes."

Little made their relationship Instagram official in October 2021 when she shared a photo of herself with Swindell at an Atlanta Braves game. “The Braves win and so do I 🤩,” she captioned the post.

She is from North Carolina

Little is originally from Alexander County, North Carolina. She attended West Alexander Middle School, and graduated from Alexander Central High School in 2017, according to The Taylorsville Times. At both schools, she was a cheerleader.

She is a former NBA dancer

Little was previously a member of the Charlotte Hornets Honey Bees dance team. (Her older sister, Laura Little Sock, was also on the squad.) In April 2023, she attended a Honey Bees reunion night with the team.

She commemorated the night by sharing a photo with her sister on Instagram, writing, “HoneyBee alumni night with my girls! 🐝.”

She is a former Miss Teen North Carolina

A former beauty pageant queen, Little competed in beauty pageants in North Carolina for years, and in 2017, she won Miss Teen North Carolina.

In December of that year, she shared an Instagram photo of herself wearing her pageant sash. “2017 can be described in 5 words.. Best. year. Of. My. Life,” she captioned the post.

She is an entrepreneur

Little co-owns a clothing shop with her sister Laura called The Little Sisters Boutique.

According to the shop's website, the sisters were inspired to open the business by their grandmother. "Our grandmother owned a bridal store which allowed us to visit and help around the shop at a very young age," Little and Laura wrote on their site. "Her leadership, kindness, and work ethic has inspired us throughout life and continues today through the Little Sisters Boutique!”

She is a Monster Energy Girl

Little is a Monster Energy Girl, which includes attending promotional events for Monster Energy and posting on Instagram wearing Monster-branded gear. In 2023, she represented the brand at an April event and the January X Games.

She met Swindell through NASCAR

Swindell initially met Little at a NASCAR event before she starred in his music video for “Some Habits.”

“We met several years ago actually," the country music star said during an interview on The Bobby Bones Show in 2022. "You know, I’m a big NASCAR fan, and she works with Monster. We just kind of met and exchanged numbers and kept in touch over the years — but it never was anything, just kind of friends. Randomly saw her here and there, but the video kind of changed everything.”

Swindell proposed to Little in May 2023

Swindell popped the question to Little in May 2023. Before proposing, however, he spoke to his future father-in-law.

"That's probably the most nervous I've ever been because he's such a great man," Swindell told PEOPLE. "I can't wait to be part of her family. She comes from a good one, and that's what made that so nerve-wracking. I can't imagine being a dad of a daughter and having that conversation."

Little also shared the happy news on Instagram. “Woke up as future Mrs. Swindell 💍 I’ve never been so happy! I can’t believe we are ENGAGED!!!!! 🥹,” she captioned the smiling photos.

Swindell told PEOPLE he planned the proposal down to the last detail, including Little’s oval-shaped engagement ring. "I put the ring on her finger, and we've been all smiles ever since," he said.

She supports Swindell on tour

Little often joins Swindell when he goes on tour. In June 2023, she shared photos of herself and Swindell on Instagram posing by his tour buses and hanging out backstage. “On the road again 🚍,” she captioned the images.

In August 2023, Little shared three more photos of the pair walking backstage at different venues, writing, "A glimpse of my weekends lately 🤍."

She joins Swindell on the red carpet

The pair have walked several red carpet at country music events. They made their debut as an engaged couple at the 2023 Academy of Country Music Awards.

On the carpet, Swindell told PEOPLE what the engagement meant to him. "I've been fortunate to have some success, but to have somebody to share it with ... to know if this all ends tomorrow, she's got my back — it's just an incredible feeling," he said.
