It seems like many shows these days eventually get a spinoff or prequel series of some sort, but hardly any of them do it like Yellowstone. So, when Cole Hauser (who plays Rip Wheeler) teased a new Yellowstone spinoff that would involve himself and costar, Kelly Reilly (who plays Beth Dutton), no one was really surprised—just more excited than anything else!

In a recent feature with Country Living, Hauser gave fans an update on his life, aspirations, and his current stance on Yellowstone and where he sees that going in the future.

“I’m so focused on finishing Yellowstone the way it needs to be finished right now—well, just the show itself," he told the magazine. "We’ll see where that leads, but I know that there’s some stuff on the horizon when it comes to [Taylor Sheridan's] ideas for Kelly Reilly and myself and some of the other cast. I’m excited to see where he goes creatively with that but right now it’s just, let’s finish strong; let’s do the best we can.”

Yellowstone fans must be experiencing a streak of good luck, because a new spinoff starring TV's most popular couple sounds like an absolutely dream. Not only that, but this news comes after Kevin Costner hinted at his interest in returning to the series—even though it was reportedly confirmed that he would not be joining the rest of the cast for the finale.

While Hauser's comments were relatively vague, news of more spinoffs have been confirmed for months now. 1944 and 2024 are two of the recent additions to the Taylor Sheridan-created universe. Though, the specific plot and cast for these shows have not been released. Could one of them be the same spinoff that Hauser was talking about?

Hauser's comments also amplify a statement that Reilly made to Collider back in March.

"I just care about finishing [the main show] with as much care and as much passion and as much love as I can muster to put into it. [...] And what goes on beyond that? There are discussions, you know. Don't believe everything you read. It's just nonsense. But we're gonna, you know, let's wait and see."

While these statements from the two leading actors don't confirm or deny anything, they're still enough to give fans some much-needed hope.

The Yellowstone finale is currently slated to premiere in November 2024. You can count on ThePioneerWoman.com to keep you updated with any relevant information until then.
