Coldplay to Debut New Album With Livestream of Concert in Jordan

Coldplay are partnering with YouTube Originals to livestream two concerts from Amman, Jordan. The shows take place on November 22, the same day the band releases its double album Everyday Life (via Parlophone/Atlantic). The first concert corresponds with the first half of the album (“Sunrise”) and begins at midnight GMT (that’s 11 p.m. Eastern). The second concert (“Sunset”) starts at 2 p.m. GMT (9 a.m. Eastern) on November 22.

To announce the livestream, Coldplay hosted a fake press conference where the only “journalists” in attendance were Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein. One of Carrie’s questions to Chris Martin was, “How is such an annoying person like you the lead singer of this band?” Another of her questions was just, “Fuck you.” Watch below.

Everyday Life follows 2015’s A Head Full of Dreams. The new album is led by “Orphans” and “Arabesque.”
